Inspiration: the seed of our idea:
“Having watched many hundreds of our skydiving-team training videos over time, with an aeroplane propeller apparently ‘trickling’ in the background; one important day I was watching the Tour de France cycle race on TV.
The opportunity potential was a visceral lightning strike: ‘Why can I not see the branding message that sponsors have placed onto the bicycle wheels, yet I easily see the aircraft propeller turning at a slow-speed in our skydive videos?
No one cares about the propeller, but the sponsors care very much about the ROI on their media placements at (eg) the Tour.’
I feel I was almost perfectly positioned to have this idea; it was a synchronous alignment of my exposure to skydiving, business and my curiosity – and a beer in my hand. Few other people could have joined the dots.“
