WHAT

HOW

Temporal aliasing is well understood by science. At a simplest level of analysis, it is the coincidence of two harmonic frequencies (e.g. fluorescent lighting and a vibrating or rotating machine part)

EXTO technology deployed into industry engages this science to support analysis on the function of critical machinery and components for quality management.

A]
EXTO is particularly suited as an engineering solution for fault-finding and predictive maintenance data on rotating and oscillating machinery. On rotating components (for example) two important operational measurements that present are:

  • Rotational speed variance (under/over speed)
  • axis shaft offset (wobble)

As an example, a bearing failure or imminent failure would exhibit these characteristics

B]
The EXTO technology will deliver data in real-time / near real-time during operations of the target machinery which, in many circumstances, is a significant advantage over the alternative non-contact video technologies that are typically post-processed (non-live) within software, after a video recording is completed.

Utilising previously captured data sets, or/and in tandem with machine learning, EXTO will assist to predict failures before they happen. In relevant use-cases the technology may be deployed to mobile devices, including phones, enabling rapid in-situ testing. As an example pilots or engineers executing pre-flight / post-flight checks.

C]
To be deployed most rapidly, the EXTO technology can bolt straight into existing machine vision digital signal processors (DSPs), the system that is currently most in use.

WHY

EXTO delivers commercial value as a robust assessment tool to reduce operating costs across industries by providing human or machine-readable data-points to indicate where a component is operating outside of tolerance.

OUR ELEVATOR PITCH

Is it possible to take a well understood scientific principle, largely overlooked since discovery and harness it in order to create superb ROI’s across industry via machinery-life optimisation and down-time savings?

It is – with EXTO

We support industrial quality control and the fast-growing discipline of predictive maintenance with a fundamentally simple technology based upon an on-demand control of temporal aliasing.

Our technology has a number of unique attributes, primarily related to its real-time feedback loop with no post-processing software after a video is captured. As example, analyses that currently call for high-speed cameras and subsequent software processing can be brought to real-time with more regular camera equipment, with significant savings of time and cost.

No one else is doing this. Work with us.

VALUE

By creating data points with a low / no intrusion system, EXTO expands the discipline of predictive maintenance to include components, plant and systems which are currently excluded, or overly expensive to incorporate

With EXTO you are able to deploy pervasive or portable human-vision and machine-vision solutions into industrial, mining, transportation, medical and all other plant and equipment possibilities, supporting powerful business cases for operational uptime, component longevity and safety

The ROI on preventive maintenance management runs into the many hundreds of percent on average **

You already understand the ROI on component life-extension and reduced downtime within your operations. EXTO assists you to increase it.
